Connecting with students is one of our 3 C’s here at thecreek. Pastor Tomy is going to talk about how connecting with your students outside of the church is an awesome way to grow in relationship with them. However, we always wants to make sure we are being wise with our boundaries. Here are a few boundaries to set that Pastor Tomy expands on more in this video:
- Give no one an opportunity to question your character
- Don’t meet with students alone or behind closed doors
- Be careful of how we word our text messages to students
- Don’t counsel or pray one on one with a member of the opposite sex
- Be wise with physical contact with students, especially students of the opposite sex
- Don’t be afraid to set boundaries for your own sanity
